A scandal has erupted in India over the brutal killing of at least twelve monkeys near the sacred site of Govind Kund. According to information published in The Times of India, the main suspect in this crime is a citizen of Ukraine.
According to the publication, the tragic incident took place on May 5 in Anjur village in Mathura district. The bodies of a dozen dead monkeys were found there, along with several injured animals. During veterinary examination, small balls identified as bullets used in air guns were found in the bodies of the dead individuals.
Local residents claim that a Ukrainian citizen, a permanent resident of Radha Madan Mohan Das Ashram, was involved in the incident. As a result of prompt police action, the suspect and another man were detained for further investigation.
