Six people killed in Georgia due to landslide

Another 35 are reported missing.

Last Thursday, August 3, a landslide occurred in the resort town of Shovi in the Racha region. Bridges and roads were damaged, as well as tourist cottages and the Sunset Shovi Hotel.

At the moment 210 people have been evacuated. Four helicopters have been sent to the scene of the emergency. On Thursday, the bodies of four victims were found, on Friday, August 4, the bodies of two more people were found.

In addition, another 35 people are considered missing - they can not be contacted. Note that their number has been reduced from 50.

Rescuers still can not get to the cottages that are in the disaster zone - the ground goes from under their feet. Note that the cottages are completely destroyed.
