The baby died in a house on Antonova-Ovseenko Street in the Nevsky district of St. Petersburg, the parents left the girl unattended in the apartment for at least two hours.
On July 3, it became known about a terrible tragedy that occurred in an apartment on Antonova-Ovseenko Street in St. Petersburg. A four-month-old girl was found dead. Her parents, a 30-year-old mother and a 36-year-old father, were detained while intoxicated.
According to Fontanka, the child was left unattended for two hours. Medics who arrived at the scene pronounced the girl dead. The police seized a baby monitor from the scene and the body was sent to the morgue.
An investigation into the baby's death is underway. An administrative case has been initiated against the parents under the article “failure to fulfill obligations to raise a minor.”
It is noteworthy that according to REN TV, the family has already attracted the attention of the relevant authorities. Parents were repeatedly pointed out the need to visit a narcologist and the inadmissibility of alcohol abuse. It is important to note that the mother of the deceased girl was 20 weeks pregnant when she was called to the police station. The mother was registered with the Department of Juvenile Affairs due to alcohol abuse while raising her son.
