On Monday evening, June 3, the police department received a signal that the body of a teenager was taken out of the Baltic Sea on the beach in the limits of Zelenogradsk. An inquiry into the matter was organized.
According to preliminary information, the pupils of the Center for Assistance to Family Placement of Children “Our House”” - 16-year-old guy and two of his 13-year-old friends, went to the sea, where the younger guys entertained themselves by jumping into the water from the pier. At some point, the diving schoolchildren began to be carried away from the shore into the sea. Their older friend called the emergency service, reporting what had happened, and he himself, without delay, rushed to the aid of his friends.
The 13-year-old pupils were rescued, but the 16-year-old died. His body was later found on the city beach.
