A magnitude 5 earthquake was recorded in Turkey's Konya province on Tuesday, August 1.
This was reported by the Department for the elimination of consequences of natural disasters. The report says that the origin of the tremors, which were observed at 18.06 Moscow time, lay at a depth of 7.2 km. The epicenter of the earthquake was Selchuklu district.
Specialists of the Kandilli Observatory said that according to their estimates the magnitude of the earthquake was 5.1.
There was no information about casualties and damage.
