The number of daily detected cases of coronavirus in Russia has exceeded 100 thousand, but doctors are worried about the increase in the incidence among children.
On Sunday, the emergency operations center reported about 121,228 cases of covid, but the number of hospitalizations as a whole is not increasing. On Sunday, 9,800 people were hospitalized (about 8% of all those who fell ill), Kommersant reports.
According to the Department of Health, the number of minors who fell ill in Moscow increased 14-fold in two weeks, from 2,000 to 28,000, and the number of hospitalizations increased 10-fold (up to 120 people per day). Several regions of Russia and Moscow have already suspended scheduled operations and hospitalizations in children's hospitals for three weeks.
According to doctors, children are more vulnerable because they wear masks less often and are not subject to vaccination, but most of them carry the coronavirus as an ordinary SARS.
