Bruises on the skin may indicate the development of blood cancer. The Express reports this, citing the charity Blood Cancer UK.
"Initially there are red spots that gradually change color, get darker and often begin to hurt. They are more difficult to spot on darker skin," medics noted.
Other signs of cancer include unexplained weight loss, bumps on the body, shortness of breath, night sweats, severe infections, fevers, rashes or itching, bone and joint pain, fatigue that does not disappear after sleeping or resting, and pallor.
Doctors specified that the symptoms of blood cancer appear gradually, and in some people they are even absent. But with timely diagnosis, the disease can be cured: the five-year survival rate for this disease is an average of 70%, experts added.
