In the Sverdlovsk region the daily increase in covid infections was 696 cases, which is an absolute record. 31 fatal cases of coronavirus were registered, and a total of 7,381 people became victims of the pandemic.
As of Oct. 28, the total number of people infected with covid in the region stands at 155,260, according to emergency operations center. There are currently 1,023 residents of the region hospitalized in serious condition, 619 of them are in intensive care units and 515 are on life support. The number of hospitalized with a moderate course of the disease is 8951. The rest of the patients are in a satisfactory condition.
Within the previous day 489 people were discharged from hospitals upon recovery. The total number of Sverdlovsk region residents who recovered from the disease reached 140,498.
