Rosselkhoznadzor demanded from retail chains in the North-West Federal District to remove from the ceiling sausage producers «Starodvorskie Sausages» and «Vladimir Standard».
Sausage with African swine fever virus has been detected in the North-West Federal District. According to Rospotrebnadzor, the virus genome was detected in the products of the producers Starodvorskie Sausages and Vladimir Standard.
In particular, sausages with the virus were found in stores in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.
As a result, the agency sent letters to retail chains demanding to remove infected products from the shelves.
Specialists noted that the ASF virus does not pose a threat to humans, but it is still not worth consuming sausage with this virus.
Earlier in Yakutsk, the ASF virus was also found in ham of the brand "Vyazanka". In addition, in Altai, retail outlets where ASF-infected sausage was delivered are also being identified.
