Scientists have proven that there are no healthy doses of alcohol

Previous studies that proved the benefits of dry red wine in small doses were done incorrectly. Only abstinence from alcohol can protect the body from premature cardiac arrest.

Canadian scientists have stated that the widespread claim that small portions of red wine are good for health has no basis. The study was published in the Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs.

They came to their conclusions after studying 107 studies, the authors of which observed the health of people who drank and completely abandoned alcohol.

Some scientists claimed that limited consumption of dry red wine reduced the risk of premature cardiac arrest by 14%, just like quitting alcohol. But these data are not true and are the result of poor methodology.

It is they that have planted a widespread misconception in the popular consciousness. In reality, there is no dose of alcohol that can be called harmless. These findings call for a reconsideration of doctors' practice of prescribing therapeutic doses of alcohol.

In Saratov, doctors are sounding the alarm over an epidemic of “beer alcoholism.”

Scientists have found out why alcohol is more harmful for women than for men.
