In a conversation with RIAMO, she notes that traumatic stress can cause exacerbation of chronic diseases, problems with sleep and concentration, and increase anxiety.

The doctor recommends seeking support from loved ones and not being alone with your feelings.

Panova emphasizes the importance of supporting one's mental health during such difficult times. She advises paying attention to one's needs, including eating right, getting enough sleep and moderating news consumption. Avoidance strategies and drinking alcohol are not the solution, and it is recommended to see a mental health professional if you are experiencing prolonged stress.

It is also necessary to talk through your feelings and reduce at least temporarily the consumption of news, the specialist concluded.

Earlier, a political scientist explained why the tragedy in "Crocus" is a new type of terrorist attack.
