According to doctors at the Khimki Regional Hospital, WHO data show that today almost half of the world's population suffers from type 2 diabetes. Factors that cause the development of the disease, the disease named bad habits, consumption of foods with trans fats, flour, as well as a sedentary lifestyle and constant stress.

At the same time, heredity plays a big role in the development of the disease. Thus, diabetes is transmitted to the child from parents in 80% of cases. If diabetes was diagnosed in both parents, the probability that the disease will be detected in the child is 100%.

Earlier in the study, conducted by scientists from the University of Sydney, found that men with type 1 and type 2 diabetes are more likely to be exposed to dangerous complications such as heart disease, kidney disease and diabetic retinopathy. Scientists have also discovered how physical activity turns bad fats into energy. Scientists have also found that childhood obesity greatly reduces life expectancy.
