In Chuvashia, patients with anthrax are still being detected. Earlier it was reported that a resident of the republic was hospitalized in Sergiev Posad with symptoms of the disease. A purplish-red spot appeared on his ear.
Another resident of Chuvashia who had come into contact with a man hospitalized near Moscow exhibited similar symptoms, REN TV reports.
It is specified that the man felt ill when he traveled to the Moscow Region. He was found to have symptoms of the disease on March 23. Now he is in hospital.
Recall that the first two cases of infection were previously reported by the head of Chuvashia, Oleg Nikolayev. According to him, the patients are under medical supervision and their lives are not in any danger.
It was also reported that all persons coming in contact with the sick had been checked and no other infected persons had been found.
It was later learned that the infection of the couple from Tsivilski district occurred while cutting up a bull carcass. Before symptoms of the disease appeared, the infected meat had been sold to Roma.
On 16 March, the village of Staroye Aktashevo was placed under quarantine. The day before, it became known about the third infected person with symptoms of anthrax.
