Nutritionist Solomatina told what to replace sweets when dieting

According to nutritionist Elena Solomatina, when following a diet, you can replace a sweet with a cup of coffee. She told about it in a conversation with "Vechernyaya Moskva".

According to the nutritionist, caffeine is a low-calorie product, but at the same time it helps to produce the happiness hormone serotonin, gives energy and increases mood. As a result, it reduces cravings for sweets.

In addition, coffee has a diuretic property due to the content of chlorogenic acid, which affects the activity of the stomach and improves digestion.

However, losing weight only by giving up sugar and drinking coffee is not possible. Therefore, Solomatina recommended to follow a varied diet with a normalised content of proteins, carbohydrates and fats, to exclude caloric products from the diet, to drink coffee up to four times a day.

Earlier Solomatina recommended limiting the consumption of pasta, fried potatoes and rich soups.
