From 1 September 2023, new rules come into force for the provision of paid medical services by medical organizations.
From September 1, new rules for the provision of paid medical services have been in force in Russia. According to the experts of the MHI system, patients should not expect any significant changes in the rules for the provision of medical services with the adoption of the new document.
For example, emergency care, even if the condition is not life-threatening, will still be provided under the MHI system. Also the basic normative acts concerning the provision of medical care will remain unchanged.
Patients will have to pay in cases when they want to receive this or that medical service without a referral from a therapist. For example, to be examined by a narrow specialist, to undergo tests, to carry out diagnostics.
This requirement existed earlier, but now it is documented in accordance with the law, the experts clarified.
In other words, to receive a free medical service the patient must have the appropriate medical indications and a referral from the attending physician, reports rg.ru
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of health wants to create a register of patients with certain diseases.
