Tachycardia is a rapid heartbeat that can occur sporadically or over a long period of time. In either case, such a condition requires consultation with a cardiologist, as it may indicate serious diseases, emphasizes cardiologist and therapist Vitaly Baklakov.

In a conversation with "Dr. Peter" doctor noted that in most cases at the time of an attack of tachycardia patients do not feel a clear deterioration of well-being. But some complain of the appearance of marked general weakness, shortness of breath, decreased blood pressure, dizziness, pre-fainting and even fainting. Such a condition is dangerous for sudden death.

Such patients should be under constant control of cardiologists, the doctor believes. The fact is that with regular attacks of tachycardia, the heart wears out faster, which can lead to the development of heart failure, which again increases the risk of death.

The fact that the condition requires consultation with a doctor is indicated by tachycardia with an increase in heart rate up to 140-150 beats per minute. If a patient has frequent tachycardia with a heart rate of 90-120 beats per minute, it indicates other conditions not related to the heart.

This can be anemia, thyroid disease, inflammatory and acute infectious diseases of the respiratory, GI, urinary and other systems, dehydration, toxic effects on the body, anxiety, panic attacks.

Earlier, doctors explained how to cope with tachycardia. It also became known that fluid deficiency leads to the formation of kidney stones.
