More than 30 thousand people have died since the beginning of 2021.
According to Rosstat (Russian Statistics Agency), the natural population decline in Kuzbass from January to August amounted to more than 15 thousand people. The death rate was twice the birth rate. Compared to 2020, the birth rate in the region has decreased. In August 2021, 1,854 children were born, and 4,644 people died.
From January to August of this year, 30,096 deaths were recorded; last year, 25,169 people died in the same period. In this regard, in Kuzbass, the natural population decline for eight months amounted to 15526 people, in 2020 it was 10,300 inhabitants.
