In Russia, the mortality rate among men aged 35-40 is twice as high as among women of the same age. At the same time, external causes become one of the main causes of death. This was reported by the Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko at the All-Russian Forum of Medical Volunteers.
According to the head of the department, nowadays young people often do not lead a healthy lifestyle, continue smoking, often abuse alcohol and do little sport.
These and similar external factors are the main cause of increased mortality, said Murashko.
