Russia has completed preclinical trials of the first vaccine that can protect against two diseases at once - coronavirus and influenza. The combined drug showed a sufficient level of safety, immunogenicity and protection. Now Rostec plans to apply for the start of clinical trials, the press service of the state corporation reported.
It is reported that the vaccine was created on the technological platform of the Human Stem Cell Institute (HSCI). It includes components that can protect against coronavirus and four strains of influenza.
After completion of all stages of testing, the production of the vaccine is planned to be launched at one of the plants of the Nacimbio holding.
