In Novosibirsk, doctors saved a man who had been diagnosed with the rarest pathology: an aneurysm of the hamstring artery.
A 64-year-old man came to the Novosibirsk Academician Meshalkin Medical Center with one complaint: his legs were constantly cold.
The examination showed that the cause was an aneurysm in the hamstring artery. This area was four times larger than it should be.
It was also discovered that a clot had grown in the dilated part of the artery, which was the size of a walnut.
As a result, surgeons operated on the affected section of the artery, cutting out and replacing it with a piece of his large saphenous vein. The entire operation was performed without the use of general anesthesia.
Now the patient has fully recovered from the operation. He feels good, and most importantly - his life is not threatened.
Earlier in the Moscow region saved a man whose nose was leaking cerebrospinal fluid, and in Kemerovo a woman gave her son life for the second time by donating an organ.
