According to Svetlana Arkhipova, head of the regional office of the Russian Federal State Agency for Health and Consumer Rights, there were 11% more asymptomatic covid carriers detected in the Samara region last week than in the previous week.
In the Samara region, 6,200 residents were diagnosed with COVID-19 in a week, which is 20% less than in the previous week.
The region now has the largest coverage of covid testing in the Volga Federal District, last week about 102 thousand people did tests, which is 4% more than a week earlier. The regional authorities plan to allocate additional funds to screen people without symptoms of the disease in contact with covid patients.
