The number of donations of blood and its components in Russia for the first eight months of 2023 increased by 2.6% compared to the same period last year. The press service of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) told RT.
At the same time, the number of blood donors in Russia as a whole remains at approximately the same level and amounts to just over one million people. The agency attributes the positive dynamics to the large-scale coordinated work of federal executive authorities, blood service institutions, non-profit organizations and donors.
