Over the last week, 18 tick attacks on people were recorded in St. Petersburg

Seven of the reported victims were children.

In St. Petersburg, from March 29 to April 4, 18 tick bites were recorded.

This was reported by the regional Rospotrebnadzor, specifying that half of the victims were children under 17 years old.

All citizens, faced with attacks of ticks, were able to seek medical help in time.

It is known that two cases were recorded in Pushkin and Primorsky district, one each in Krasnoselsky and Petrodvortsovsky, six more in the limits of St. Petersburg.

Doctors remind that in the Leningrad region there is vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis, and everyone can be vaccinated at any time.

Over the past seven days, 3,888 people have already been vaccinated, including 879 children.
