Tinnitus is a reason to see a doctor. This is emphasized by neurologist Anastasia Tarasova. According to the doctor, tinnitus is of two types. Both indicate the presence of pathologies.

So, in a conversation with “Gazeta.ru”, the doctor said that tinnitus, which is heard only by the patient, is one of the most frequent disorders, indicating a depressive, anxious state. In this case, the patient hears a squeak or ringing.

In the second case, the noise can be heard by the doctor examining the patient.

To make a diagnosis, it is important to determine where the noise is heard: in the ears or head. For example, if the cause of the noise is ear disease, the noise will be heard from the side of the diseased organ.

If the noise is accompanied by a decrease in hearing or, on the contrary, increased sensitivity, it indicates a middle ear disease. If a person feels that he hears grinding, crackling, bursting - the reason is inflammation in the middle ear.

The doctor called a noise that resembles ringing accompanied by dizziness a dangerous condition. Most often it indicates Meniere's disease, in which the pressure of the natural fluid in the inner ear is increased.

As for the second case, when the noise is heard by the doctor, according to Tarasova, it is associated with pathologies of the cardiovascular system, neoplasms in the skull, the presence of a foreign body in the ear canal, dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint, myoclonus of the middle ear muscles.

Tarasova noted, it is possible to cure the pathology only by determining the true cause. Therefore, tinnitus requires referral to a doctor.

Earlier about the causes of tinnitus told Dr. Alexander Myasnikov, and scientists told about the relationship between tinnitus and hearing loss.

This material is of an introductory nature. Before applying the recommendations, consult a specialist.
