Le Figaro: Gazprom notifies France's Engie of cutting gas supplies due to disagreement

Gazprom has notified the French company Engie about the reduction in the supply of blue fuel from August 30, Le Figaro newspaper writes, citing a source within the energy company.

"Engie said that Gazprom has warned of additional and immediate reductions in gas supplies," the newspaper reported.

The reason for the reduction in supplies is called "disagreements between the parties in the application of the contract."

In July, the Russian company has already reduced gas supplies to France. The French Energy Corporation reassured citizens that all measures had been taken to supply fuel in the normal mode.

Last week, the exchange price of gas exceeded 3,500 euros, after which Dmitry Medvedev changed his forecasts and predicted a price of 5,000 euros for Europe by December.
