Belarus wants to change the tariffs for the transit of Russian oil through the Belarusian territory. As the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) of Belarus informs, negotiations are now underway.
The agency notes that at the moment the exact position of the Belarusian side is still unknown, as the negotiations on changes in tariffs for the current year have not yet been completed, so the MART has no data on this issue.
As noted, the tariff changes are regulated by the methodology, which was approved on January 27, 2010 by two parties: the Belarusian Ministry of Economy and the Russian Federal Tariff Service. According to this methodology the unscheduled tariff revision takes place according to the same procedure as the scheduled change of tariffs at the beginning of each calendar year.
Earlier, a Telegram channel reported that representatives of Gomeltransneft Druzhba initiated an increase of transit tariffs for oil pumping through Belarus from July 1 amid the fall in oil transit due to the sanctions.
