India surpassed all other states of the world and in November became the largest buyer of Urals oil delivered by sea routes.

Previously, oil was mostly exported by Europe, but Reuters calculations based on Refinitiv and traders' data showed a new leader in purchases. The calculations did not include oil transit from Kazakhstan (KEBCO).

The total volume of Urals oil shipments from Russian ports in November was 7.5 million tons. Turkey remains the main consumer of Urals in the Mediterranean region. Turkey accounted for about 15% of sea deliveries in November.

Some part of Russian oil is distributed in Egypt. In Port Said oil is reloaded into big tankers for delivery to Asia, e.g. China. In November it accounted for less than 5% of Urals exports by sea.

Recall that from December 5 the EU imposed an embargo on shipments of Russian oil by sea. According to traders, the volume of Urals oil supplies to the EU may decrease in December - the embargo imposes a ban on supplies of Russian oil even by Russian companies to their refineries in the EU.
