The Russian currency increases its growth to 78 rubles per dollar, the euro exchange rate fell to 87 rubles, follows from the information of the Moscow Exchange.
The exchange rate of the US dollar with settlements "tomorrow" at 15:54 Moscow time Thursday fell by 1.34 rubles and now stands at 78.08 rubles, the euro fell by 2.32 rubles, to 87.08 rubles. During the day, they decreased as much as possible to 77.92 rubles and to 86.99 rubles, respectively.
The trend was consolidated after the statement by the Foreign Ministry that the Russian Federation considers even the idea of a war with Ukraine unacceptable.
In recent months, relations between Russia and Western countries have become even more tense. Washington and Brussels accuse Moscow of preparing an "invasion" of Ukrainian territory and, in this regard, are increasing their presence in Eastern Europe.
