EU countries can survive the winter without Russian gas - this is the conclusion reached by experts Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF), published a study with relevant content.
According to analysts, the EU's intensive purchases of liquefied natural gas (LNG) indicate that there will be enough fuel to generate electricity this coming winter.
In fact, the region has the capacity to import about 40 percent more LNG than last year. Moreover, the EU can increase its purchases by about 14 percent this summer, which will help rebuild the region's lost reserves.
That is, according to Bloomberg, it would be enough to compensate in the event of a complete stoppage of Russian fuel supplies during the winter period.
