During the first half of 2025, exports of peaches and nectarines from Georgia to Russia reached unprecedented volumes, amounting to 2.9 thousand tons. This is the highest figure in the entire history of observations. The total cost of the shipped products is estimated at 3.6 million dollars.
According to the National Statistical Service of Georgia, the minimum volume of exports in the last four years was recorded in 2022, when only 466.9 tons of fruits were sent to Russia. In 2021, deliveries exceeded 1,000 tonnes for the first time, reaching 2,100 tonnes.
Between January and June 2023, the volume of exports of Georgian peaches to Russia was 1.1 thousand. tons. For the same period of 2024, this figure rose to 2.1 thousand. tons, which in cash equivalent was 2.4 million dollars. TASS wrote about it.
In the first half of 2025, Georgia exported 3.1 thousand tons of peaches to foreign markets for a value of US$ 3.8 million. This is 24.2% higher than last year.
In addition to Russia, Georgian fruits were also supplied to Armenia (213.7 tons) and Belarus (20 tons).
