Alexei Likhachev, the head of the state corporation Rosatom, informed about the increase in the company's export contracts with foreign partners.
According to the Izvestia newspaper, the top manager announced the volume of foreign trade transactions in the nuclear power sector in the amount of $10 billion by the end of 2022. This is a "psychologically important barrier" for the industry, Likhachev stated and added that the volume of exports increased by 15% amid the difficult geopolitical and macroeconomic situation.
At the moment the order portfolio of the state corporation is made up for 10 years ahead and has reached the level of $200 billion.
Likhachev also demanded from the Finnish authorities to compensate the losses for the breakage of the contract for the construction of the Hanhikivi-1 nuclear power plant.
