Russia increased wheat supplies to China in January-May this year. Exports amounted to 124.7 thousand tons, which is 9.3 times more than in the same period last year.
But this did not allow Russia to enter the top 5 major exporters of products to China. Russia ranked sixth among wheat importing countries to China. The leaders were Australia, Canada and France.
The federal center of Agroexport told TASS that China has bought a total of more than 8 million tons of wheat since January this year. Russia accounted for almost 1.5% of foreign supplies of the crop.
By the way, grain exports from Russia increased by 16%, Rosselkhoznadzor said. From January to June 9 delivered 40.2 million tons, wheat accounted for 24.9 million tons, corn - 4.2 million tons and 3.9 million tons - wheat.

Russia is one of the largest exporters of wheat in the world. According to the Union of Grain Exporters, by mid-April Turkey ranked second among buyers of Russian wheat this year, second only to Egypt. Bangladesh is in third place.
