Russia to ban petrol exports from 1 March

The proposal was supported by Mikhail Mishustin. In addition, an increased norm for diesel sales on the exchange is being introduced.

The Russian government plans to ban petrol exports from 1 March. RBC wrote about it, citing a source.

The article says that the export ban was approved by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The author of the proposal was Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Novak.

According to RBC, the temporary ban will not affect already agreed supplies to Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, EAEU countries.

In addition, the government will increase the norm of sales of diesel fuel on the exchange by 16%.

Earlier it was reported that the export of Russian petrol decreased by 27%.

That year, a temporary ban on gasoline exports was in effect from 21 September to 17 November.
