The dollar has fallen to 69.75 rubles.

The euro has fallen below 81 rubles for the first time since mid-July last year. This is evidenced by information from the Moscow Stock Exchange.

As of 19:17 Moscow time, the dollar was falling by 59 kopecks to 69.75 rubles, while the euro - by 88 kopecks to 80.99 rubles.

The euro was last lower than 81 rubles on July 21 last year.

Expensive oil and an increase in the key rate of the regulator have a positive effect on the exchange rate of the domestic currency. So, the Central Bank raised this indicator by 0.75% at once - up to 7.5% per annum. At the same time, experts predicted a less decisive step - 0.5%.
