Media reports on the Washington administration's concerns about the rapid increase in exports from China.
The Politico newspaper, citing sources in U.S. official circles, reports on the intention of the country's Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen to visit China in April and hold talks with representatives of the Chinese leadership. The publication notes that the key topic of the planned talks is related to "responsible management" of bilateral relations.
It is not excluded that the head of the U.S. financial bloc will continue to discuss the issues that were raised during her previous trip to China in July last year. That visit was followed by the formation of two working groups on economics and finance to discuss "issues of concern to both countries."
The two sides discussed the possibility of Yellen's visit to China this past January, agreeing at a two-day meeting in Beijing to continue contacts on economic issues.
The Politico newspaper writes about the Washington administration's fears caused by the rapid increase in exports from China. In the opinion of the American side, this could allegedly lead to the destabilization of world markets.
