The cost of broiler carcass in the wholesale segment became less by 2.8%, falling to 210 rubles per kilogram.
According to "Vedomosti" with reference to Rosstat, in August one kilogram of chicken cost about 208 rubles, in September - 221 rubles. But on October 16, the Federal Antimonopoly Service informed that chicken producers began to reduce prices.
Commenting on the situation, one of the major producers said that as early as September 29, during one of the meetings held at the Ministry of Agriculture, Deputy Minister Oksana Lut raised the issue of lowering prices for broiler carcasses, otherwise companies would have to face state regulation measures.
