The declaration of conformity for supplies of Brazilian sparkling wine Salton Prosecco and Salton Prosecco Rose was received by the importer Moro in mid-July. The volume of the two batches will amount to 30.2 thousand bottles. In Europe this sparkling wine costs from 6 euros per bottle.
The company “Moro” received five declarations of conformity for the importation of sparkling wine from Brazil to Russia this year. Two were issued in May, one in June and two in July, Kommersant wrote.
In May, X5 Group (Chizhik, Perekrestok, Pyaterochka chains) reported about supplies of sparkling wines from India. Simple Group will start buying the drink from India, China, Brazil and Uruguay.
Pavel Shapkin, head of the National Alcohol Policy Development Center, said that so far the supplies will be in insignificant volumes, but the share will grow. Importers will continue to look for channels of wine supplies, which will not be subject to increased duty.
