Russian residents have increased spending on marketplaces by 1.5 times this year.
According to research by Tinkoff eCommerce, Russian residents have spent 1.5 times more on marketplaces.
This growth is associated with the departure of foreign brands, the development of parallel imports and a wide range of products. Also large platforms are developing logistics and have a user-friendly interface, "Izvestia" specified.
In 2022 the popularity of marketplaces increased by 43% compared to the previous year.
However, marketplaces currently account for about 8.5% of all online and offline expenditures of Russians.
Wildberries remains the most popular marketplace, with a 60% market share. In second place is Ozon with 25% of the market share.
