This measure is introduced due to an increase in the cost of kerosene by more than 50%.
From November 22, Aeroflot will increase the fuel surcharge on domestic and international flights, Vedomosti reports, citing a company representative.
For domestic flights, the price will change by 550 rubles. (from 1650 to 2200 rubles), for international - by 10 euros (from 20 to 30 euros). The cost is indicated for tickets in economy class; in comfort class the fuel surcharge is 1.5 times higher, in business class - twice.
According to a representative of Aeroflot, this measure is forced and is being taken due to the increase in the cost of kerosene this year by more than 50%. Fuel surcharge is a measure of partial compensation for fuel costs, as fuel accounts for over 30% of the costs of an airline.
