The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia plans to increase the production of poultry meat and chicken eggs in 2024. This was announced by State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Agriculture Maxim Uvaidov.
Last year produced 542 million more chicken eggs than in 2022 (46.4 billion pieces). The growth was 1.2%. According to Uvaidov, this is the maximum production volume.
The state secretary said that three major investment projects and several for meat poultry farming are planned.
Uvaidov assured that producers of chicken eggs and poultry meat are provided with the necessary vaccines.
According to him, there are still a number of questions about hatching eggs. A number of countries have banned its supply due to the epizootic situation.
Uvaidov expressed hope that Russian broiler cross will appear in sufficient volumes, which will create an alternative to foreign eggs.
By the way, since the beginning of 2024 Russia has imported 60.7 million chicken eggs from Belarus, Azerbaijan and Turkey.
