The Russian division is in the final stages of signing a contract with a Turkish investment fund. The subject of the deal will be Bosch's plants in Strelna (St. Petersburg).
The initial bidder for the plants in this city was the Chinese corporation Hisense. However, according to Kommersant, the Turkish investment holding Can offered twice as much as the 20 million dollars originally planned for the deal. It is also pointed out that the German manufacturer does not want its technology to fall to the Chinese.
Presumably, after the purchase of the plants, Can Holding will deploy both its own production and contract assembly.
Initially, the main contenders for the Russian assets of Bosch were Chinese Midea and Hisense. It was even reported that allegedly Hisense had already bought the plants in June of this year.
