Thursday morning there was a decline in oil prices. This occurred amid reports about increase of fuel reserves in the U.S. and statements made by representatives of the Federal Reserve System.
March Brent crude oil futures in the course of trading on London's ICE Futures Exchange at 8:16 Moscow time were fixed at $83.83 per barrel. This is $1.15 (1.35%) lower than at the end of the previous session. At the close of trading on Wednesday, the contracts went down by $0.94 (1.1%) to $84.98 per barrel.
The price of WTI crude oil futures for February reached $78.2 per barrel in electronic trading on NYMEX at the same time. It was $1.28 (1.61%) lower than the results of the previous session. The results of the previous session registered decline of the contract by $0.7 (0.9%) to $79.48 per barrel.
