Last September, the Russian Federation increased the volume of investments in US government securities: from $5.85 billion (in August) to $5.96 billion.
Data on this are given in documents released on Tuesday by the US Treasury.
Long-term bonds reportedly accounted for $3.4 billion instead of the $2.6 billion that was declared a month earlier.
The share of short-term bonds amounted to $2.5 billion compared to $3.2 billion in August, according to a ministry document.
