This statement was made by the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov. According to him, in 2021 additional funds will be allocated to support citizens in a difficult situation.
As Siluanov said, additional funds were allocated for benefits to the unemployed this year.
"We provided for additional funds this year - more than 100 billion rubles went to implement this task," he said on TV channel “Russia 24”.
Similar measures are planned to be taken in 2021. "Social protection measures for our citizens who have not yet found work will be provided in full," he emphasized.
For those citizens who lost their jobs as a result of the pandemic, in the government decided to increase the amount of benefits to the minimum wage (12.14 thousand rubles), the minimum size is 4.5 thousand rubles.
