There is a shortage of specialists at manufacturing and consumer goods enterprises.
In Russia, the provision of the company with employees from the first quarter of 2020 has fallen to a minimum in the first quarter of this year in the history of observations. This was reported by the Central Bank of Russia.
There is a shortage of personnel in the economic sector and a number of others. The acute need for employees is experienced by enterprises that produce consumer and investment products, as well as manufacturing industries.
For this reason, a number of enterprises either limit production volumes or motivate their staff to work overtime for additional pay.
In the second quarter of the current year the enterprises of the main sectors of the economy want to increase the number of employees. Such expectations are maximum in trade, agriculture, services, transportation and storage, and industry, the Bank of Russia reported.
Many enterprises raised salaries for certain categories of employees earlier this year to solve the problem of staff shortage. Others are ready to attract employees from among pensioners, students and migrants. Some companies are trying to retain experienced older staff.
Companies are taking measures to increase labor productivity and optimize production processes, the regulator summed up.
