As the results of 2022 show, China has become Russia's main trading partner. The volume of trade between the countries increased by 28%.
According to Vedomosti, the relevant data are contained in the study of the Federal Customs Service (FCS). The second place after China is occupied by Turkey, with which the trade turnover increased by 84%. The Netherlands (minus 0.1%), Germany (minus 23%) and Belarus (plus 10%) come next.
Since parallel imports were legalized, the global supply chain has changed. Turkey was a serious partner in the establishment of new routes, experts explained, adding that in 2023, Kazakhstan has the opportunity to overtake Belarus in terms of trade with Russia.
Returning to the topic with China, it is worth noting that at the end of 2022 the level of trade turnover between Russia and China continued to grow, rising by 29.3%, to $190.27 billion. This was a record-breaking figure.
