Japan's shipments of cars to Russia increased by 20.8%, car engines - by 17.9%. At the same time, shipments of buses and trucks fell by 31.5%, engine parts - by 75.1%, motorcycles - by 4.3%.

Recently it was reported that the export of used cars from Russia has recently increased significantly. One of the companies confessed that they send about a thousand used Toyota, Subaru, Suzuki, Mazda cars to Vladivostok every month and sell them profitably; sales are now the highest in the company's history.

Under Japan's anti-Russian sanctions, Japanese companies are not allowed to bring luxury goods into Russia - these include cars worth more than 6 million yen ($40,000; about 2.5 million rubles). Used cars are not included in the list, as they cost little, and demand for them is growing rapidly.
