Russia could lose oil industry

The head of RussNeft Yevgeny Tolochek said that a number of factors, including coronavirus and the collapse of the OPEC+ deal, could destroy the oil industry in the country.

In a conversation with RBC, Tolochek noted that the collapse of oil prices at the beginning of this year led to the fact that the oil industry in Russia was threatened.

"You just do not understand how serious the situation was in the economy, in the Russian oil industry. Everything was very bad, just on the verge," said the President of RussNeft.

At the same time, he noted that, probably, the oil industry would no longer exist today in Russia, if it were not for the support of the government.
