Inflation rate in Russia will not exceed 4.2%

According to the results of this year, inflation will be 3.9-4.2 percent, and disinflationary factors will prevail in the current situation. This was stated in the Central Bank.

According to TV channel "Russia 24" with reference to the regulator, one percentage point will fall on the weakening ruble along with this.

As specified in the Central Bank, the effect of transferring the exchange rate to inflation this year was restrained. Including through government measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus COVID-19.

The situation was affected by the almost complete absence of import services. In addition, there was an increase in the temporary time lag due to interruptions in the supply of some non-food products from abroad.

That is, according to the CBRF, the effect of the weakening of the Russian currency will still be felt in 2021.

Nevertheless, according to the Central Bank, disinflationary factors will prevail in this situation, and price increases will be approximately 3.5-4%, according to the results of 2021.
