The furniture chain Hoff is ready to consider the possibility of buying IKEA's production assets as well as the lease of the chain's retail space. This was announced by the general director of the company Maxim Grishakov.
He stressed that any major player on the Russian market will reconsider its strategy due to the reduction of IKEA business in Russia.
Grishakov noted that with IKEA leaving Russia, the Hoff furniture chain had many "points of overlap": regions of presence and even the same shopping centers.
"Hoff is ready to consider the assets of the Swedish retailer in case of an appropriate offer - it is a part of our development strategy and opening new outlets," he said.
Grishakov noted that Hoff is the only player in the furniture market that is not going to close. As part of this strategy and the development strategy of the assortment, the company intends to apply for new productions.
Recall that on June 15 IKEA announced about the sale of four plants in Russia and the company's employees will be laid off. Foreign furniture company suspended its work in Russia on March 4, after the start of special operations in Ukraine.
